Aloha Friends of Kehau Sullivan,

We started with a goal of $10,000.00, mostly because we had never done this before, and we didn’t know what to expect. The response was overwhelming, and quite humbling.

We then raised the goal to $20,000.00, and were blown away by your kindness and generosity.

Kehau needs to have a total of 5 operations, all of them open-heart. We’ve been told by her doctors that each will cost around $150,000.00. The insurance will pay for 80% of the total cost, but Pancho and Haunani will need to come up with 20%, or $30,000.00 per procedure. Multiply that $30,000.00 by the 5 operations, and they will need $150,000.00 to insure that Kehau will have a strong and vital heart throughout her life.

So we, at Friends of Kehau Sullivan, have decided to raise the goal to include the total amount that Kehau will need for all of her operations.

We want to thank you all for your kindness and love, and for the incredible generosity you’ve shown this family. There have been donations from people who are out of work and people who have little money, but big hearts. And we are so grateful.

After much consultation with family and friends, we have now decided to go for it all, the entire $150,000.00, and I know we’ll reach it.
